Review of The Well Digger's Daughter (2011) by Omar A — 01 Aug 2011
A study in manners, logic and parenthood - quite apart from being a beautifully constructed movie. The characters are allowed to develop and the viewer gets to know them, forms his own relationships.
The morals of a past generation are studied and hypocrisy exposed, all in a quintessentially french way.
A beauty - I must see the Chabrol original.
