Review of The Weight of Water (2001) by Eliza R — 03 Dec 2007
Creepy, lots of foreshadowing; you know it ends badly but you're not sure how. Bigelow builds the quiet desperation of Mara's life convincingly and its remarkable that Polley makes us sympathetic to such a selfish character.
Also, Penn's the perfect a-hole poet.
