Review of The Weight of Water (2001) by Mikael K — 14 Dec 2009
Weighty indeed. I had never heard of this movie, and it was a nice surprise. Kathryn Bigelow is an able director, and I have to say I like her movies. Sarah Polley really gives a good performance here, because she is subtle in her unhappiness.
The script also contains plenty of subtleties, but meanders some. This may not be a knockout movie, but it's nothing if not interesting.
