Review of The Weather Underground (2002) by Melinda A — 05 Nov 2007
Every person should see this movie. The transition that happens when members of their own group are killed while making bombs. The fact that three of the group are now teaching in American colleges after serving prison sentences.
The racial disparity in how white vs. black activists were treated by the American govt (ie, blacks killed). This movie made me think hard. I always thought of myself as a pacifist, and this movie gave me a queasy feeling that I admire the integrity of these people who were blowing up vacated buildings trying to save lives and wake up the world.
