"The word easy doesn't enter into adult life.".

Ever since I was a child, I've been spectacularly obsessed with the weather, hell I used to watch the weather channel for entertainment when I was young and this is not a joke. So as you can probably guess, I was more than a bit intrigued when I saw this title. I was expecting a movie about the weather, but what I got was an emotionally touching and frequently funny film about the ups and downs of life. Director Gore Verbinski (The Pirates Of The Carribean, The Mexican) has given us a truly intriguing tale of love, loss, family, humility and above all the bond that we all share with our loved ones. The Weather Man is wonderful little gem of a dramedy that's a surefire change of pace for Gore Verbinski and company. It's an interesting tribute to the screwed up and incredibally difficult lives that we as humans lead on this Earth. It's one of those films that hits every end of the emotional spectrum, the entertainment factor is high throughout. It's a compelling and razor sharp powerhouse of emotion and humor that captivated beyond belief. It's one unlucky man's struggle through a shitty catch-22 life, a lose-lose lifestyle that you can't help to just feel bad for this guy. It's a truly tasteful, remarkably witty, outstandingly taut, enjoyably fresh, flat-out honest and completely unforgettable. A first-rate winner, one of the best and most emotionally engaging easily relateable films that I've seen in ages. Highly recommended, another towering and triumphant winner from Gore Verbinski.

Nicolas Cage gives a great performance, it's one of his more convincing roles as of lately. Michael Caine is brilliant as he always is. The Weather Man features many more great performances by other supporting roles.
