Review of The Weather Man (2005) by Matt R — 08 Sep 2008
To me this isn't a brilliant film at all, as its just using a rather sterotypical storyline of a split family living an everyday life. However, this time based around the fact the lead male character is a weather man, who has been given a shot at the big time.
So he doesn't just get stick from his troubled family life but from work too. Along the way there are other reasons that bring him grief, no matter how hard he tries to fix many of the problems. Ending up just being too much for him.
Whilst the acting in this film isn't bad, the story is rather slow to get going and doesn't really go anywhere. Nicholas Cage has been in far better films than this.
