Review of The Weather Man (2005) by Ross M — 19 Mar 2009
A weather man whom his ex-wife calls a "real blue-ribbon fuck" and keeps getting fast food chucked at him by passing cars who recognize him examines his life as his father is preparing to die from cancer.
It's quirky and very dark, so I can understand some of the reactions. But I loved it. Touching and hilarious. I'm glad Gore Verbinski put away the pirates for a while to get back to his beginnings of working with terrific writing (thanks to Steven Conrad) a la The Mexican.
