Review of The Weather Man (2005) by Margaret P — 26 Feb 2010
It's actually not that bad as critical film critics used to describe at the time it was in theatres. There're many subtle things in this movie contributed to the delicacy and sensitivenes in it. I like the way the plot developed, however, in the late 30 minutes, the rythem is quite slow.
Michael Caine, no doublt, is born for acting. It is not that easy to perform a stubborn, tough, yet, caring father. And I think Nicholas Hoult's character in this movie helped him to get the role in "A Single Man". Nicholas Cage might be a box office poison. But, his funny facial expression indeed matches the theme of this film.
