Review of The Way We Were (1973) by Yu Jin O — 17 Jul 2007
All American boy, Robert Redford and the funny girl Barbra Streisand at their best! This movie is probably the most egonizingly romantic movie out there. A girl loves a boy. The boy likes the girl but in the end it doesn't work out because well like Carrey Bradshaw eloquentely puts "He couldn't break her.
" It has such heartbreaking scenes from the beginning, you cannot but help feel that they truly are meant to be- I mean seriously if it were all that easy, who would want to fall in love? Anyway the fact that a Robert Redford would fall in love a barbra streisand was the "it"factor for me.
Also let's not forget the theme song.
