Review of The Way We Were (1973) by Poornima R — 24 Feb 2009
The Way We Were has aged surprisingly well - I hadn't seen it in 20 years. Who Streisand has become during that time - a vocal political "animal" - had an impact on my perception of the movie.
Has their ever been such a politically charged romantic movie? Anyway, strong writing, directing, and acting combined to make a very memorable movie. I didn't find it sad. Friends may say I am biased.
