Review of The Way Way Back (2013) by Kelvin W — 17 Dec 2013
Nothing you haven't seen before. Familiar themes in a coming of age story about a boys summer with his dysfunctional family and the new people he meets who help him feel better about himself. James is only okay in the lead role as the boy with self esteem issues.
The real standout here is Rockwell, who brings a looseness to his role as the never having grown up manager of a water park. Not a great film, but enjoyable enough that it's worth a look.
