The Way Way Back succeeds at what it wants to do and be as a movie. The characters are all pretty well laid out, and make the right changes in the story. The story is interesting and the acting is good and quite humorous from Rockwell.
Although we've seen some movies like this before about lonely kids in dysfunctional families, The Way Way Back seems to stand out from the rest.
