Review of The Way Way Back (2013) by Carlos I — 24 Jan 2015
At first The Way Way Back may come off as another indie comedy coming of age movie, but it stands out from the crowd for its humour and brilliant performances. Steve Carell is fantastically loathsome, Sam Rockwell is delightfully fun, Liam James perfectly captures the awkward teenager who hates his life, and the rest of the cast pulls their own as well.
At the end of the day, The Way Way Back is a fun, albeit somewhat aimless story that's enjoyable from start to finish.
