Review of The Way of the Gun (2000) by Miles B — 05 Jun 2007
Another great crime movie from Christopher McQuarrie. Not quite following in the footsteps of his first writing foray (The Usual Suspects), this movie is a complete deconstruction of America's love for the movie criminal, even going so far as to name his main characters after the famous Newman & Redford western classic.
This bleak perspective on humanity shows that McQuarrie has the potential to be the next Peckinpah, and it's unfortunate that he has not been making movies since this one.
