Review of The Way of the Gun (2000) by Sami A — 28 Jun 2010
Seen this movie twice, once when it first came out, and a second time last weekend. The first time I was younger and it was both exciting and believable because as a young man you tend to be naive about things especially when it envolves action.
After the second and most recent viewing I understood that some outcomes in the shootouts didn't make sense. But then again it is a movie and as a movie it doesn't have to be flawless, it just has to be entertaining for two hours.
The plot is original, the dialogue is crisp, and almost everyone is bad. The ending was a surprise and some of the characters aren't on the side you think they are. Any movie that I can watch for two hours without making fun of it half way through, and also has a few surprising twists is good in my books and worth the time.
