Amazing true story of a group of men who escape a prison camp in Siberia and walk 4,000 miles to freedom. Getting out of the camp was the easy part. During the men's journey they walk through Siberia, then have to deal with the desert, before finishing their journey through the Himalayan mountains.
Along the way the group has to learn to trust each other as well as learn how to survive. Ed Harris and Colin Farrell are the big names of the cast. This movie was directed by Peter Weir (Witness, Dead Poets Society, and Truman Show to name a few).
The Way Back is a good story well told. I'm suprised this one didn't get a bigger release at theatres.
