Review of The Way Back (2011) by Mixa C — 23 Jul 2013
This is one damn good movie... I'm amazed by how many twists came in this movie, the actors are all amazinng, even from the young Saoirse, but the real gold is the director's effort, I wasn't well known of Peter Weir, but now I've become a fan, and longing to see his other works.
In short this is Lord Of The Ring with Academy level of fim making ( Oh I'm sorry about LOTR was Academy Award winner), but seriously, may be to it's just me but the film making in this movie is so overwhelm to make LOTR almost look like making from a 3 year old.
This movie is about a group of 6 escape from labor camp trying to search for their freedom, and their story of survival.
I was captivated by the starting 15 minutes, for how much details they put into dialoque and the surroundings, and that you can tell easily the film makers are really serious about to make this movie look as good as possible.
The only words I can say after watching is it in all accounts can compare to Schildalar's List from Spielbert . I would definitely watch this again in the future. Highly recommended for people into historical adventure.
