Review of The Way Back (2011) by Alynic B — 04 Feb 2014
Beautiful portrayal of a miraculous journey. Although it feels drawn out in portions, you are caught up in the happiness and deaths of the characters. The goal of any film-maker is to portray those in the film clearly as humans, humans you can understand and laugh with or hurt for.
Most film-makers spend their lives dedicated to this and never find it. Peter Weir nailed it.
