Review of The Way Back (2010) by J.j.s.p. W — 28 May 2011
The plot is simple and straightforward -- you won't be slapped with convoluted "Matrix"-like plot twists or unclear jumps between storylines, time, and space. But what this film lacks in plot complexity, it more than makes up for with spectacular cinematography.
Breathtaking geography and panoramics, artful shots, and brilliant acting. Nothing is over-acted or over-dramatized. The film is just beautifully, flawlessly executed from beginning to end.
