Review of The Way Back (2010) by George B — 14 Oct 2011
I'd not even heard about this movie until just today. It has some fantastic acting in what I consider an extremely exhausting journey taken with the characters. Easily the best I've ever seen Jim Sturgess, not that I've seen him in a lot of films.
You could make the argument that there isn't enough character conflict, but this movie is really more about a group of people trying to survive against the elements and the courage to get up and keep moving.
Oh, and there are definitely some fantastic visuals with "just over this hill" shots. Great movie that will leave you glad for running water.
