A great cast & a welcome return from director Peter Weir (who hasn't released a movie since 2003's excellent 'Master & Commander: The Far Side of the World') Based on supposed true events a bunch of prisoners escape from a Siberian gulag in 1942 & trek 4000 miles to India.
A picturesque & harrowing journey involving a lot of walking.
