Review of The Way (2010) by Caro D — 01 Nov 2011
This is an ever so subtle movie with four mildly obnoxious trek-mates who meet while undertaking, for reasons of their own, an 800 km hike on the Camino de Santiago. There are the daily happenings and interactions, chance occurrences, weather, and their effect on one another.
The constant in the movie is the trek, one foot on front of the other, day after day. One waits for something dramatic to happen, but there are no burning bushes, only the kind of transformation that happens in real life one step at a time.
