Review of The Way (2010) by Morgan Y — 25 Sep 2012
Beautiful road, distracting premise. Written to reinforce Tom's recursive path, following in his son's footsteps, the characters on the road feel stereotypical and poorly conceived. I'd have rather seen a movie with more cinematic pause, rather then a character drama.
The movie does not walk enough of the road itself, though I suspect the writer/director must have. What this movie lacks, the music of Oliver Schroer (RIP) had in spades.
