A Dark comedy without the darkness, a goofball romp that says don't call me goofy, a comedy that has its splutters. This is a flawed oddity that manages to be funny but also a bit mean spirited if taken as such.
At heart harmless but is indeed, in retrospect, a hard film to recall as truly funny.
