Review of The Water Diviner (2014) by Robert B — 29 Apr 2015
The story revolves around an Austrailian father who loses his sons during WW1 and then his wife through grief. In a quest to discover their remains he travels to Turkey. With no help from the British authorities he strikes up an unlikely friendship with a young boy and his mother and a Former Major of the Turkish army.
While the movie is neither groundbreaking or new it does have heart at the centre and portrays fathers in a positive light, an all to rare event:
