Review of The Watcher in the Woods (1980) by Shawn-Ray M — 27 Mar 2009
This movie is a blast from way back when Disney tried making family-friendly horror films. A lot in this movie is obviously dated, from the acting to the way it's filmed, but is still relatively enjoyable.
It has moments of pure creepiness, and is a decent mystery overall. I had read about some things that were supposed to happen in this movie but they directors couldn't do them for various reasons and I kind of hope if they update this movie at some point they can work those elements into it because I feel it would make this movie truly remarkable.
Overall, not a bad way to spend 90 min.
