Review of The Watcher (2000) by Alysia V — 15 Feb 2009

I thought Keanu Reeves did a very good job playing a serial killer in this movie, and James Spader did a great job, as well. I enjoyed both of their performances and this movie kept me interested. The whole, "you have 24 hours to find her before I kill her" plotline was a suspenseful one and I kept putting myself in the position of James Spader, realizing what an awful burden that would be.

Knowing that the life of some innocent girl rests in your hands and ability to crack a case. It'd be hard to go through that day after day. Keanu definitely does a good job played a very sadistic character and is believable, in my opinion.

And the opening scene with Rob Zombie's "Dragula" playing while Keanu's dancing is a memorable one, for me..when someone mentions this movie, that's the first scene that pops into my head.
