The Watch has potential, but it seem couldn't figure our where to go with it. At times an ensemble comedy, at others a buddy flick, it eventually also attempts to be an alien sci-fi shoot 'em up.
It might have been really successful has it chosen one course to follow; as it stands, it ended up a jack of all trades, master of none: rather meh +some shining moments at each of the genres. There are some laughs in there (most of them via Will Forte, whose police sargeant ends up stealing the show) - just wait for cable to get them.
