Review of The Warrior's Way (2010) by Kian Wei K — 20 May 2011
I actually enjoyed the film and love its interesting mix of east and west and its artistic backdrop and choreograph. I won't consider it as a parody of eastern martial arts film because it is nothing like it.
It is understandable why this film has bad reviews because it feels like a cult film; it will appeal only to certain audience - saying that it's a lousy film simply because of the amount of bad reviews is doing this film unjust.
It is actually appealing to me in an interesting but bizarre way. If I may add in an unprofessional opinion, I feel that this film has a little of Frank Miller and a little of Tim Burton in it.
