Review of The Warrior's Way (2010) by Allan C — 10 Jul 2011
Fun little mash-up of a wide variety of film genres. Westerns and martial arts films have certainly been mashed-up before, with everything from "Red Sun" to "Shanghai Noon", but this one has elements of Tod Browning, Sergio Lenoe, Terry Gilliam and even the likes of "300" and "Lone Wolf and Cub".
The story is pretty thin, so if you're going to enjoy this film, it's pretty much for the stylistic merits of the films, which you could easily find fun or annoying. I found them fun, so the film was entertaining enough for me.
