Review of The Warrior's Way (2010) by Frank T — 21 Aug 2011
I chose this movie, since Korean's and mines heatrub Dong Gun Yang was in it, but after watching not even 10 minutes of it, I was wondering, why could he, after being in some good movies (such as BrotherHood of war) be in a trash movie like this? This movie was a complete waste of what could have been something interesting.
The trailer was by far better than the movie itself. In the trailer, it showed that it was going to be some kind of Ninja meets Kate Bosworth. However, all we got was computer generated crap. The action was absolutely terrible.
There were no smooth sequences where you actually believed the character could do any of things he was supposed to be able to do. The initial duo at the beginning against the greatest swordsman ever had no flair, no drama and no beauty.
The sword fight against his clansman and the master at the end again fell completely flat. If you came into this movie with high expectations as I did, you will be dissapointed.
