Review of The Warrior's Way (2010) by Jacob H — 14 Oct 2011
If you're in the video store, looking for a serious martial arts movie, and you come across this, stop. Walk away and continue your search. This movie is the exact opposite of what you are looking for. However, if you enjoy watching B movies to have your own MST3K style viewings, then by all means pick this up. Personally, I don't believe that the filmmakers were being serious with this movie. They knew this was incredibly cheesy, and just went with it.
I went into this movie expecting to hate it. Everything I had seen from it beforehand made it look really dumb. And believe me, the first hour is really terrible. The characters are stupid, the acting isn't that great, and the story doesn't make much sense. However, once the action picks up the movie really becomes enjoyable. The action is so ludicrously over the top that you can't help but like it.
I only give it a 60 percent because this movie is absolutely not for everyone. I strongly recommend watching this with a group of people. It's much more enjoyable that way.
