Review of The Warriors (1979) by David H — 12 Jul 2010
This is defently one of my Favourite Movies Pure Cult. All this Gangs fighting each other in a Near Future New York the Outsiders are getting more and more the Dark Side of Capitalism Freedom and Poordom create Gang Criminality the Re-Development to the Tribes they don't want live a live in Hard Work, Poordom and Desolatness and live the Day with a lot Action and Dangers they are created by Society but the Society spit on them so they strike back the Difference between them and the Sophisticated is great pictured in that Scene when they meet the Snobs the Movie is full of Bombastic Music, Hillarious Costumes, many great Fights and that all combined in the bounding and bewichting Style of Walter Hill.
The Warriors are Tribesmen fighting for Survival in the Streets of the Big City their Horses are the Subway. For the Year of 1979 this was a realistic Vision of the Future Gang Crime in New York City was in this Time shortly before the Explosion everybody expected that Surroundings like in this Movie develop nobody thought that Rudi Giuallini get the Crime Problem into Control and the Income raise high allthough the Rest of the Nation fall into a Economic Crisis but other Citys got this Problems now.
