Review of The Warriors (1979) by Steven G — 20 Mar 2015
A surrealistic semi-postapocalyptic, urban movie about a gang, The Warriors, that gets framed for a high-profile murder and have to find their way home to their own district through the neighbourhoods of other low- and high-profile gangs.
The cool soundtrack, cool look, entertaining story & dialogues and the gritty, urban visuals had me entertained for the full 90 minutes. The fights are pretty typically 70's movie's "cheesy", but entertaining none-the-less.
Worth watching, especially if you're in a mood not to have to think too much.
