Review of The Ward (2010) by Jally J — 19 Jun 2011
I don't know what all the fuss is about, 'The Ward' is great. Carpenter is more stylish than ever, making essentially his Argento film, and is true to the atmosphere he's known for. The third act, while having a flawed ending, ratchets up the suspense, gore, and visuals.
While the script isn't the greatest, it's good to see Carpenter back making the style of movie where he can showcase his talents and scare and entertain for 90-minutes.
