I'm thrilled that John Carpenter is directing again. I'm a huge fan! I think it's a solid film that would have scared the crap out of us 10 yrs ago. I think it's also a very different, and more relevant for today, style than his work that I'm so fond of.
I'm relieved since most of his films after Prince of Darkness have been awful. The greatest success of the film is attention to the characters, their performances and their chemistry. I look forward to more from Carpenter and A Bigger Boat productions.
