Review of The Ward (2010) by Rufio C — 02 Jul 2011

Visually it's on par with anything else John Carpenter directs and has the feel of being in comfortable territory. The music while not done by John is quite good and helps the film move along as well as a solid cast led by Scream Princess Amber Heard. The plot however is a whole different story. Simply put it's weak. And it uses a gimmick that has been done before. Several times before actually.

Hopefully this was a chance for Carpenter to reacquaint himself with directing and will allow him to really live up to his name with future projects.
