Review of The Ward (2010) by Alex S — 20 Aug 2011
John Carpenter has done it again by delivering an imaginative psychological thriller. This is not a horror movie. This time he delivers a vengeful ghost on a group of young women in an psychiatric institution set in 1966.
Nothing is what it seems. The end is exciting and satisfying. My only problem is the way Carpenter weaves the characters in the story and sets up the shocking end. He could have been way more slick and added more cues without giving anything away.
