Review of The Ward (2010) by Joel D — 16 Jan 2012
Sleek direction and a sturdy performance from Jared Harris are about the only good things in this nightmarish film otherwise full of bad acting, writing, twist, turns, starts, ends and everything in-between. The script unknowingly vilifies its main characters to the point of insanity, the conclusion is too bland and predictable to even bare thinking about. What's most surprising is that J.C. chose to direct this abortion of a script, I bet the writers were damn happy to get such a commander.
QUICK FIRE SINGLE SENTENCE REVIEW = John Carpenter, oh how the mighty have fallen.
