Dear John Carpenter,.
Please stop making movies. You are destroying your legacy as a horror director and let's face it, you haven't made a good horror flick in around 30 years. Everything since then has just been a slide into disrepute, and this time around you've outdone yourself in outdoing yourself. There isn't a good thing about The Ward, from the stilted writing to the crummy acting to the cliche story to the "it was all in her head" ending. It was like you were trying to make a film that would drive people away. So predictable, so tedious. Just stop now.
