Im a big fan of carpenters early stuff, and even tho this has been getting bad reviews, I still wanted to see for myself, sadly those reviews were accurate, its nowhere near the caliber of carpenters better films, I think the biggest crime of all is that he just isnt trying here, its just so bland and forgettable, at least some of carpenters earlier duds like prince of darkness, at least felt like carpenter films and you could tell he at least was trying, unlike here, where anyone couldve made it and you wouldnt have known the difference, the acting is all bland, the only thing that kinda saved it was the ending, which did make sense and explain a lot, but its still a pretty forgettable film.
