THIS FILM IS BAD! Very, very, very , very bad! What's wrong with this film?Let me count the ways: Evil generic guards, no scares, no tension, no suspense, bad acting, bad characters that are unlikable, a terrible script, bad mask for the ghost.
The first big reveal is generic, the big final twist tries to breathe life into the film but it's too late and it's also been there-done that. Only good part of this film is Jared Harris as the head doctor, and even then that's not a reason to sit through this shit-fest.
It cobbles together various cliched and overused tropes of horror films and tries to make a film out of the product and boy does it fail at every single level. THIS FILM SUCKS! John Carpenter used to be one of the greatest directors of all time, he made my favorite horror film of all time (The Thing) and it really hurts to see how far from grace he has fallen.
Throw The Ward in a trash can and BURN IT!!!
