Review of The Ward (2010) by Paul B — 31 Oct 2013
For the Ward I had combined expectations. I've heard that it wasn't that much of a great movie, nevertheless it was directed by John Carpenter. The same guy who brought The Thing, one of my favourites. At least for me, whenever I go to the cinema to watch a scary movie the only thing I'm expecting is to actually get scared; and I did... in some parts, and I had a real nice time scaring my friends who came to see it with me.
Mark Kilian, composer of the score of the movie, actually brought some really disturbing music. See the intro, it's probably one of the best parts in the whole movie. So... is the movie worth remembering? Probably not. Is the girl in it worth remembering? Probably yes. Will I get the score of the movie if I ever find it? Absolutely yes...
