Review of The War Tapes (2006) by Justin M — 08 Jun 2008
The best documentary on the Iraq War. Personal, emotional, sobering, and utterly fascinating, this account of a group of soldiers filming their experiences in Iraq is possibly one of the most gripping documentaries you're likely to see.
Director Deborah Scranton doesn't spin or spoon-feed the facts, and brilliantly tells this story with fairness and humanity. A great inside, on-the-ground look at the Iraq War.
