Review of The War Room (1993) by Linda K — 16 Nov 2007
A decent enough look at the '92 election campaign for Bill Clinton. It was fun watching Clinton's hopelessly optimistic campaign staff respond to Bush's vitriol by crushing him under a wave of carefully planned rhetoric and spin. It's always good to be reminded that bullshit and naivety aren't new.
It wasn't particularly deep though. Anything that could have possibly been construed as controversial (and therefore interesting), was absently missing from the film. The most arousing issue discussed? Whether to have handmade signs or printed signs at the Democratic National Convention. Take from that what you will.
