Review of The War of the Worlds (1953) by Jenny W — 08 Sep 2012
Technicolor on top of creative, contrasting lighting provides draws in the audience's attention with powerful special effects. So much time was dedicated to this, however, that the story (particularly the ending) and the acting fell to the wayside.
This film is purely visual, and if you come in with that idea in your mind, you will be dazzled.
