Review of The War of the Roses (1989) by Jonathan A — 15 Jun 2007
Well, a far cry from the other two eighties films with this trio. :) Throughout, it was pretty funny, and highly disturbing, but in the end I loved the fact that DeVito was able to pull off a "moral of the story" and it actually worked.
DeVito as a divorce lawyer, telling people to hang on to their marriages and try to make them work. After all, older generations made their marriages work, so it's worth fighting for. Anyway, good film, dark, funny, disturbing, yeah.
:).
