Review of The War of the Roses (1989) by Gary G — 07 Dec 2008
A cautionary tale about the dissolution of a marriage--and one hell of a destructive ride/road to revenge. One of my favorite dark comedies with enough chemistry between Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner to burn toast.
Going through a bad break up, or a little more single than you'd care to be? Watch this movie and you'll find that you don't have it so bad. In fact invite some friends and tell them to bring some wine because no one plays bitter like Kathleen Turner and no one plays egocentric smug like Michael Douglas.
Sadly, it's a joy to watch.
