Review of The War of the Roses (1989) by Lisa S — 30 Jan 2017
One of my all time favorite films not just from the 80's but in terms of comedy as well. With two brilliant performances by the leads (with a solid foundation provided by Danny DeVito) this is a dark comedy that has the conviction to see the disintegrating marriage at the centre of this film through to its brutal finale.
It also has a decent supporting cast, good score and the script is genuinely great.
