Review of The War Boys (2009) by Henry B — 24 May 2011
I have mixed feelings about this movie. The story and characters have so much potential, but their true depth and dramatic richness is never given the time to surface. If this had been made into something longer like a mini-series, it would have been so much better.
The story is still good, and it's refreshing to see so many oft-avoided subjects addressed all in one film. In the end, however, it falls short because it's too condensed. The War Boys could and should have been amazing.
